2009 - Taras,
sired by our own boy Brut, did well at Alpacapalooza
in April. He's growing very well and we're
sure he's got an exciting future ahead of him.
2008-
November
We finished our first season at
the Redmond Market and did wonderfully well.
We met so many nice people at the market - vendors
and customers. We're definitely going to
attend next year in addition to the festivals and
art shows we're going to shoot for.
We're going to be hosting a once a
month seminar on alpaca
ownership here at the farm so attendees can get
hands on experience with a variety of animals
April-October
In September the last three of our
2008 crias were born -
Olga - a perfect little huacaya
female from Iraida and Quinn 3BA made her
appearance:

Two days later Teemo arrived -
Talaris and Quinn 3BA - note the curls in his fiber.

Finally, two days after that Taras
made his debut - Miss Phoenix and our boy Cumbi's
Brut -

We're at the Redmond Market and
have been doing amazingly well. The season is
to the end of October and then we'll start up with
the Ballard Sunday Market. We don't know if
we'll do every Sunday. A lot will depend on the
traffic to the store during the holiday season, but
it's always good to have options.
The Creelman is finally working.
We got it to actually knit and the next step is to
see if we can get the ribber working:

Tim is also attending a weekend
CSM (Circular Sock Machine) conference in April.
His goal is to get one pair of socks done per week
to have for sale in the store.
Our first '08 cria, Daecia, is
meeting and greeting everyone who comes to the Farm
and stealing hearts every chance she gets.

2007 -
As part of the fiber sales effort the farm began
accepting credit cards in early summer. The
results have been mixed so far.
We had four crias this
year, all boys. So that's six boys out of
seven total born since 2005.
October 2006
Starfighter and Brut did the farm
proud at Alpacamania. They both got first in
their halter classes with very nice comments from
judge Wade Gease.

Brut's fleece won his class and Alex's fleece was
judged Reserve Color Suri Fleece of the show!

Talaris's first cria, Evgeny, was born.
Except for the white spot on his chin he's solid
brown. His fiber is buttery soft.
July 21, 2005 - Alpaca Ranchers of the NorthWest's
Level II show

CTA
Alex - 11 month old light fawn/beige Suri (ARI
1378115) took first in halter under Jude Anderson.
First in a fleece class of five and Champion Suri
Color Champion over all with an over all score of
81.25 as awarded by Nard Mullan.

Cumbi's Brut - two year old medium fawn Suri
(ARI 1306668) took first in halter and second in
his fleece class.

That's Edyk in all the pictures - he showed the Suri boys in halter and proudly discussed Alex's
fleece ribbons.
September 2004 -
We brought our herd home. |
